Partaking in a Little Self Care

We’re living in a crazy time. While I wish things were better, it’s gonna be a while before things become better! So I’m trying to use this opportunity to rest and relax. There are quite a few things that you can do to partake in self-care. They are usually free or just a few dollars for supplies. So below I’m gonna list a few ways I take care of myself:

!. My friend Kiera Smalls is a cofounder of City Fit Girls. Its a great organization providing run clubs, and other fitness workshops in Philadelphia. I’m here to high light a service she provides. It’s an Instagram live for Morning Meditation. it just helps me cut down on stress, relax, and put things in perspective. it only about 20 minutes in the morning but it niece because it allows you to start your day on a good foot. It is as simple as you want and there is only one thing you need to bring, yourself. You can tune in to her Morning Meditations on Instagram each morning around 8. Her Instagram name is kierasmalls so check it out!

2.I’m all about skincare and hair care. I’ve found some great at home face masks and hair masks. i have a great hair mask which i will leave the recipe below but it makes your hair soft and shiny. Plus it comes from many household items so it pretty easy to make up.

Recipe for the hair mask: 3 tablespoons of coconut oil

2 tablespoons of aloe vera ( I use my after sun aloe lotion.)

1 tablespoon of honey

Directions: Mix ingredients and apply to a dry head of hair. Leave on hair for 30 minutes and then wash hair twice.

3. I really do enjoy a good bath especially when I was swimming, but even though I’m not swimming I still find them enjoyable. I bought a bath caddy wooden shelf pictured above. Use whatever you want to bath balms/ bubble bath soaps you would like to allow you to relax and enjoy. I use all kinds of things but here I have Dr. Teals Pink Himalayan Body Wash.
